	Founded	September 1, 1986 in Seattle, Washington, as De Sar, Inc.

	History	In 1988, the Ex Officio brand label was introduced. In April 2007, Jarden Corporation acquired ExOfficio. Jarden is a leading provider of niche consumer products used in and around the home, and ExOfficio falls under their outdoor solutions. The ExOfficio brand continues to be a prime innovator for technical travel apparel.

	Employees	The corporate headquarters in Tukwila, Washington has 45 employees. Our retail stores have a staff of roughly 15. There are also about 12 independent sales representatives for ExOfficio.

	Distribution	ExOfficio distributes its products in the United States to over 600 specialty outdoor, travel, fly-fishing, and luggage retailers. There are currently 3 ExOfficio branded retail stores. ExOfficio also sells in the United Kingdom, Australia, Canada and Japan.
